  1. BOOKING GUARANTEE POLICY
    Credit card details must be provided for all reservations of 12 or more guests. Should you cancel your reservation within 48 hours of the arrival time or fail to show for your reservation, a fee of $50 per person will be incurred. Functions of 50+ guests may have a different booking guarantee policy –  please speak to a member of the Hunter & Barrel reservations team to discuss. You may see a $1 pending charge on your bank statement as part of the card authorisation process – this is a temporary charge and it will disappear from your statement in a few days.

  2. ALTERATIONS TO BOOKINGS
    The final number of guests must be confirmed within 24 hours from the confirmed time and date of your function. In the event that guest numbers reduce from the date of confirmation, you will be charged for the confirmed number of set menus and beverage packages.

  3. SERVICE CHARGE
    A service charge of 7% will be added for all groups of 12 or more, applicable every day which is passed directly to the wait staff as a gratuity.

  4. SURCHARGE
    A $5 per person surcharge will be added on public holidays. Please be advised that card payment fees may be applied to card transactions. The fee percentages vary depending on the type of card used and payment method used. It is important to note that third-party vendor fees, such as those associated with PayPal, Stripe, or in-house store terminals, are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation or refund.

  5. PRIVATE DINING AND EXCLUSIVE AREAS
    When booking a private dining space, you must comply with the minimum spend requirements. The minimum spend is based on food and beverage only and does not include any other fees or charges such as the 7% service charge or $5 per person public holiday surcharge. If you do not reach your minimum spend you are welcome to purchase food and beverage to make up the balance. A room hire fee will apply if you do not wish to.

  6. MENUS & BEVERAGE PACKAGES
    Group bookings of 12 or more guests are required to dine on one of our set menus. All menu items and prices are subject to seasonal availability and change

  7. ARRIVAL & SEATING TIMES
    Kindly emphasise to your guests the importance of arriving at Hunter & Barrel slightly ahead of your agreed time so that you can enjoy your meal within the confirmed time period. We recommend you arrive 15 minutes prior to your seating time. We will hold your reservation and table for 15 minutes after the scheduled reservation time. Your table may be given away if you are more than 15 minutes late.

  8. REQUESTED SEATING & CAPACITY
    All requests for seating are taken into consideration but not guaranteed. Please be aware that all groups over 12 people may be seated across multiple tables.

  9. CORKAGE
    We are fully licensed and offer an extensive wine and beverage list. A corkage fee of $30.00 per bottle applies if you bring your own bottle of wine.

  10. CAKEAGE
    A cakeage fee of $3 per person applies if you bring your own cake.

Please be advised that card payment fees apply on all transactions: EFTPOS, Savings & Cheque = 0%, MasterCard, Visa, American Express = 1.65%, Diners Club International = 1.50%, UnionPay = 2.20%. For payments made online and in situations where we have stored your card details to be charged at a later date = 2.60%. Third-party vendor fees e.g. PayPal, Stripe, inhouse store terminal fees will not be refunded upon a cancellation or refund.

  • The wine gift voucher can only be used at Hunter & Barrel restaurants in Australia.
  • This voucher is not redeemable for cash or credit in-store.
  • The complimentary wine voucher is not valid with any other specials or promotions.
  • The voucher is not valid on special event days.
  • The complimentary bottle of wine voucher will be issued with every e-gift card over the value of $150 AUD which is purchased from hunterandbarrel.com between 01/11/2024 and 31/12/2024.
  • The complimentary bottle of wine voucher is valid for 12 weeks from the date of purchasing the e-gift card.
  • The complimentary bottle of wine must be consumed in-venue within the redemption period.
  • Drink responsibly. Offer is subject to the purchase of any main meal item and subject to availability.

How can you Enter

  • To enter, entrants must, during the Promotional Period:
  • Make a reservation and dine at one of the Hunter & Barrel restaurant locations on 13th February 2025 or 14th February 2025
  • Entrants will have the chance to win one of the following prizes:
    • $500 gift voucher for Chi, The Spa at the Shangri-La Sydney
    • $500 gift voucher for Botanica Wellness Spa Melbourne
    • $500 gift voucher for BODHI Wellness Spa Retreat Perth
    • 6x Hunter & Barrel dining experience worth $250 (1 experience per winner)
  • The prizes are subject to change depending on availability, weather, time of year etc. with absolute discretion falling to the Promoter.
  • Other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner.
  • The experience will be determined by negotiation with Hunter & Barrel and the winner for dates on a reasonable basis.
  • Although efforts will be made to accommodate the winners, the final prize dates will be decided by Hunter & Barrel.
  • We reserve the right to redraw in the event of a winner being unable to satisfy these terms and conditions or forfeiting or not claiming their prize within 14 days of notification.
  • All components of the prize must be taken together or otherwise deemed to be forfeited. Travel is subject to booking availability and blackout periods may apply.
  • By providing your contact details you agree to receive communications from Hunter & Barrel and its parent company Seagrass Boutique Hospitality Group in all manners until you unsubscribe.

To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:

(i) inaccurate/incorrect transcription of entry information;

(ii) purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or stolen, or that are received, but are late, illegible, incomplete, sent with insufficient postage (where entry is by post), or sent other than as directed in the entry instructions;

(iii) any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software;

(iv) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website;

(v) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the competition;

(vi) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the competition;

(vii) any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to a prize winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying a winner; or

(viii) any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant’s or any other person’s computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this competition.

  • The promoter shall not be liable for any tax implications that may arise as a result of accepting any prize. Independent financial advice should be sought by any person participating in the promotion.
  • The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize except for any liability, which cannot be excluded by law.

What are the material dates of the competition

  • The competition commences on 13/02/25 and finishes at midnight AEST 14/02/2025 (“Promotional Period”).

Will there be costs / expenses the winner must incur

  • No travel alterations can be made to the package and anything additional will need to be organized by the winner separately, at their sole cost.

How will you notify the winner. What time period do they have to redeem the reward

  • The winner will be drawn randomly on 19th February 2025 and will be contacted through the contact details provided upon entry
  • The prize must be redeemed within 12 months of the winner being announced.
