Discover Our Premier Steakhouse Experience

Hunter & Barrel Adelaide CBD

Our steakhouse is made to provide an experience, something that lasts longer than a few hours. The heart of our menu is fire. Each steak is cooked over the white hot coals of our open grills, giving that distinct smoky, charred flavour. From jaw-dropping tomahawks to tender chicken skewers, every dish is built around quality produce and primal techniques.

Our service is attentive without feeling overwhelming or too formal. We aim to keep things flowing with ease, always on hand, but never in the way of the experience. We believe that hospitality is what makes or breaks a meal, so whether it’s just a casual lunch or a business conference, our staff are experienced in tailoring their service to match the event.

Our interior is what ties it all together. Striking a balance between soft, ambient lighting, the natural textures of stone and wood, and the tantalising scent of smoke and sizzling meat. It aims to be refined, comfortable, and soul-soothing; the kind of atmosphere that lets you sink into your seat and let the food and conversation take precedence.

Located in the heart of the CBD, our steakhouse in Adelaide makes organising lunch easy. The service is sharp and professional, the food is simple yet delicious, and the quiet atmosphere is perfect for corporate dining events.

A good steakhouse meal isn’t complete without a good drink to accompany it. Our drinks list includes a range of South Australian wines, beers, and our specialty housemade barrel-aged cocktails. No matter what you prefer with your steak, we have a pairing to suit and the expertise to know what to recommend.

Whether you’re organising a team dinner with coworkers, an end of year celebration or a small birthday lunch, our team at our steakhouse in Adelaide will work with you to shape the event. Our private dining rooms are great for smaller groups, or you can rent out the entire space for larger functions. We keep it as flexible as possible and focus on what really matters; the food, drinks, and running a smooth, stress-free event.

Steak is our passion, and is what makes us one of the standout steak restaurants in Adelaide. We only source our meats from the best purveyors in Australia—free-range, ethically raised, and hormone-free. And when it comes to preparing, there’s no shortcuts, no fancy techniques. Just the magic of open flame, the precision of our expert chefs, and the respect we have for steak.
